What is lean construction?

it is a way to design production systems to minimize waste of materials, time, and effort in order to generate the maximum possible amount of value

The word Lean came from Toyota ( Japanese ) as there are the one who started this and very successful in implementation of lean concepts.

Japanese also call them as "MUDA" which is also know as waste.

There are 7 major wastes identified which are listed below.wormpit

2. Over Production.
3. Rework/Defect
4. Motion 
5. Processing(Over) 
6. Inventory.
7. Transportation 
8. Un-utilized capability
