Not trying to be a sexist but a friend of mine shared his thoughts of how the style of decision making varies between the two genders. Just wanted everyone's perception.
I believe on the basis of gender one cannot judge some body is good or not at something. In my thoughts it is the tactics and proper use of knowledge, experience that makes a person expert in certain job.
Same will be in case of Digital Marketing as well. Any body- Male or Female if they are good at understanding the art of digital marketing and have interest in this field, I can say they, can be a good Digital Marketer.
Not exactly, It certainly does not depend on gender! With with that being said, women are the majority in social media marketing corporations and PR companies as well, I don't recall any studies that stated that women are better digital marketers
Not necssary. Both genders can perform in accordance with thier capacity building.

In my opineon, it could depend on the gender, but only if considered together with the type of industry. There is stil social division between "male" and "female" jobs, and, although we dont want it to be like that, some industries are just more fitted for women. They understand it better, think more clear and productive about those industries and thus make better marketing professionals in them.
its not about gender its all about passion, capabilities and hard-work.
Dear Naji,
This is a valid question. :-)
It leads to a question. Who can succeed in digital marketing. I am assuming this is a client facing role.
So lets say.
1. Anyone who is focused and continuously upgrading his/her knowledge and skills.
2. Has exposure to creative ideas due to varied interests and ability and humility to learn and teach.
3. Can manage professional relationships well.
Each gender has some advantages over the other. There are also certain trends in the business world. Gender equality, cost reduction and increase in information intensity is driving change in the workplace. Additionally, stress is the cause for poor performance. Google for Robert Saposky's work on this subject.
This is no short answer to this but you can rest assured that this is the age of information. The muscle power is no longer needed for any jobs due to automation. Women have a level playing field and sometimes an upper hand due to many social and economic reasons. :-). Men and women have to learn to work together and compliment each other, there is no question about it. The days of dominant versus submissive are going to be gone.
