As a sixth grade English teacher, what are the best English language teaching methods to attract the attention of my students and avoid boredom?

Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn. Involving students in hands-on learning experiences may be the best english language teaching method to get and maintain their attention. The teacher needs to make sure that such learning experiences contain entertaining aspects to keep the momentum going.

Songs, nursery rhymes, tongue twisters, songs, movies, cartoons are the best english language teaching methods.

Here are some of the best English language teaching methods:

1. Use visual related to the instruction.

2. Use choral chants of material

3. Involve students in lecture by making them explain what they have learnt

4. Use humor and storytelling to capture students' attention

5. Wander as you teach, most kids will track you, which will keep them alert and if you see someone having trouble focusing you can stand right next to him or her for a quick perk-up.

6. Throw students a foam ball when calling on them to answer a question

7. Before beginning your lesson, ask your students to stand and join you for2 minute of light exercises as jumping jacks.

For the best english language teaching methods, you can use the Communicative Language Teaching and Total Physical Response methods.

Fun, games and rhymes are usefult techniques. 

If you are not using Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) as an approach, begin it now. Children at that age need activities that engage them in an entertaining, fun way. So, you can use arts and crafts (like drawing and painting) which involve speaking in English. Use of nursery rhymes with actions is good to engage them to interact. Fun with words (like, making nonsense but actual sounding words using affixes, creating new real words out of a given long word, word replacement, etc) will keep them happily busy.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO BE AWAY OF REPETITION AND GIVING A LOT OF HOME WORKS 

Sixth graders love point systems where they can accumulate points for good behavior, correct answers, knowing what page they are supposed to be on, etc.  Getting each one involved in some way and fostering healthy competition for giving the best answer, or having the courage to come in front of the class, is probably one of the best motivational tools.  Also finding ways to make them laugh or express themselves is always a winner.

First by learning to play as well as the cartoon to learn English movies , and useful ways of discovery learning and cooperative learning

Activity based learning is preferred to sustain interest of the learners in this process and the best english language teaching method. Interest of learners is essential effective and fast learning.

A weekly schedule of activities helps a lot. It can be designed by keeping in mind the level of comprehension of the learners English.
