If you are a boss who wants to do great work, what can you do about it? Good Boss, Bad Bossis devoted to answering that question
There are numerous easy catching and noticeable signs that may occur from a toxic boss during an interview. A defensive body language from your boss is a sign that you as a candidate represent a threat to his position. For example, during the interview, he or she will avoid direct eye contact with you or may start rifling through papers. A bad attitiude such as exhibitting negative energy like being not enthusiastic, nor intrested in his company. Scanning you from head to toe means that your boss intuitively dispatching you a message that you are smaller than they are and thats propably a clear sign that your talents won't flourish in this new environment. Moreover, when your boss uses Fear as a motivator or exhibit lack of distrusting others, its a sign of a toxic boss. For example, he or she will bring up the words firing or layoff numerous times during the interview. An Excessive nervousness from your boss during the interview such as downing large cups of black coffee, eating lots of sugar is another caution sign. Being extreme friendly is a good thing, although it mightbe a tip that your boss disguise behind it and will unmask his true personality that you may not like after you you get hired.
