D=2r 2- equivalent diameter is the diameter of a circular or pipe that gives the same pressure loss as an equivalent rectangular duct or pipe. 3- hydraulic radius is a measure of channel flow efficiency. OR The ratio of the channel's cross-section area of a conduit in which a fluid is flowing to the inner perimeter of the conduit.
