I am not so sure what do you exactly mean with door hardware, can you give an example? Do you mean door hinges, locks ..etc?
Anyways , I think you have to consult some building codes reference or something , perhaps this will help you filter out with general criteria.
By the way, all doors catch fire unless they're entirely built in metal. Fiberglass doors usually have foam core and the fiber/resin used can be either glass/polyester or glass/epoxy, both can be processed for better fire retarding properties (using special additives) , but they will all burn if directly set in fire via direct flame.. The only difference will be smoke generation (rate of smoke) and fire probagation rate (whether the flame can spread fast or slow). Epoxy wins over polyester in this category but it's more expensive to process.
