15~70 devices depending upon the router/access point architecture

It is not decided by the access point, the number of devices are number of IP's the network can release, ie it is based on the subnet of the network.

10 users for the SOHO types. For Enterprise types, the recommended capacity is 40-80 users even if the advertised capacity is 200+.

it depends on WIFI routers.. mainly they support ten devices.

The network is as fast as the slowest device . With wireless , more gives you less . More devices ,less throughput .When deciding on the total number of devices , we immediately need to consider the minimum speed requires and whether QOS is required . A well designed wireless network should have a well balanced distribution of AP's .

Connecting 255 computers to a single WiFi access point, while theoretically possible, is not recommended. Performance of such a network will be very poor. Install multiple access points instead to distribute the network load. By adding more access points to the network, effectively any number of computers can be supported (though the network becomes progressively more difficult to manage).

its depend on your subnet + your AP maximum number of client supports. the bandwidth is always shared between connected users. distance and number of obstruction is involved too.

its depends upon your requirements and needs. You can connect maximum 255 wireless devices in a Wireless Access Point.

You can specify the number of devices based on speed and not the type of router and this is not a calibrated as often as is a ppreciated

I don't know if there is a limit to number of devices which can connect. It would make more sense that most routers are limited by their hardware, and will experience performance degradation as number of devices increase.

This, I suppose, largely depends on the speed of the routers CPU and available RAM, but it also would largely depend on the services running on the router, i.e. is NAT enabled, QoS, VPN, Access control, is wireless open or with password, etc. I think that the amount of traffic that devices make, is also an important factor to the limit.

I think that this also might be the reason why manufacturers do not specify number of devices which can connect, because it depends on many factors
