In my view and scenario, till Today, no one can stop print media completely from anywhere. Print media having its own image which can not be vanish till age ago.
LACK OF TIME AND MORE USE OF SMART PHONES
I think that the Arab world can not turn to digital media and leave the impression due to very low percentage of internet connectivity
What stops us from leaving the printed media in the Arab countries is this one specific subject, too many advertisements on billboards, too many advertisements on magazines, newspapers etc. Especially in the UAE is a place of international hub with backgrounds of multiple traditions, cultures and religious views, where only printed media is more likely excepted.
Now a days people have their own magazine and news paper, print media is a must the digital screens have invaded people lives they enjoy holding their magazines news paper.
Selling expensive advertisement, print media companies are big and rich in this country.
However print media is more about the city news where it is published, it is about interviews, investigation, analysis, politics, economy.
Readers will never eave the printed media in the whole world not only in Arab country.
So far, no nation has left out printed media completely.
There is always room for print media.. U can not rely on technology on 100%..Print Media has the impact on viewer minds. Its one time cost and ad will be there for like a lifetime on the other hand digital media need investment (time or money) again and again. Print media (like flyers and magazines) is important
BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO TIME TO SEE THE ADDS THEY HAVE IN RUSH ALL THE TIME
usage of smart phones and busy time we have so we need to know whats important from the news in less time and effort and in a more seductive way .
In addition to the answers , I would like to add that the reasons that are keeping printed media alive are:
1. Some clients (readers) are still in need for that !
2. Investors and Business men are still in need to make money out of that !
there's no country in the world would leave printed media completely, becuase there's no reason to leave it.
may be the demand on newspapers could be less, but brochure, magazine and other ads around us all is consider as printed media .
