The methodology does necessarily depend on the subject you are teaching additionally with the age group of your class to whom you are interacting with! No method can be considered sacrosanct while making learning full of interest and fun. It is a relative concept and can be best evaluated and decided by the teacher himself while reading his students's psyche in general. The methodology broadly can be segregated for kids, teens and grownups. While kids learn effectively while connecting socio-emotionally with them keeping larger part of their interactive learning schedules full of real time exhibitions and displays whereas grown ups need more one to one friendly interactions in frequent tutorial sessions. Too much use of audio visuals without eye to eye contact with audience may not give you best results so far Effective learning is concerned. In all cases your individual effort, intuition with regard to individual capabilities, proper understanding of students's psyche and learning traits are warranted if one truly wants his knowledge dissemination be enamored of effective learning.....Of course too much fun may also be detrimental to effective learning hence judicious balance is always required!!
have world cafe as part of the curriculum
As a teacher have two responsibilities whilst instructing
1, To Make the class want to learn.
2, To Maintain enthusiasm and interest throughout the lesson.
To accomplish this you must understand that people learn in different ways this is some called the VARK theory of learning styles i.e. Visual, Aural, Read/write, and Kinesthetic or sensory modalities.
Understand your learners needs is very important and then plan how you are going to motivate and inspire to learn
As far as my teaching experience is concerened, the best method of teaching is not just limited into one method but diverse methods are used. This is due to the fact the each students has their own unique way of learning things. This is what we call, "learning curves." Some learn best visually like giving them pictures and perhaps with the use of visual aid to make things clear for them. Some however, learn best with the use of listening materials such as recordings and other audio devices. Some learn best with the use of games or problem solving and etc. Some is quite effective when you use the lecture method.
For me as a teacher, we need to be flexible in giving our students various ways and methodologies in teaching. Only then all our students will get the chance to doscover their full potentials at school.
Any best teaching method depends on your topic or subject matter, there are many strategies and techniques that would make teaching fun and interesting all in all that would depend from the teacher it self considering her attitude towards work and willingness to impart learning. no best method could guarantee learning.. learning relies on the person teaching and living up what she's imparting
As my professor once said, there is no BEST method in teaching for one method may be good for the other and might not be as good for other else. As a teacher we should understand our students, know their strengths and weaknesses, and what they are interested of. From those, you pattern your lesson. By doing this, you might have just won their hearts for not only being a good teacher to them but also for understanding them.
A specific method of teaching is not there but on basis of our experience with the our students, we may mix the delivery of topics based on lecture plus demonstration/animations/quiz etc...
the best method of teaching to make learning interesting and fun is to teach the students through:
1. activities like- skit, drama or a play if the subject is Literature.
2. let students make attractive models for subjects like Geography and Science.
3. make beautiful charts for mathematics.
4. make use of surroundings.
5.explain through objects like pencil, chalk, colorful balls, buttons, sweets.
Be close to the students, and make an analogy on the idea being teached to something that the students relate and understand easily
