Why do we need Fuel Gas Conditioning Skids ?

to ensure that the gas entering the gas turbine is according to the specification of the GT. Also to ensure the pressure remains between the specified range 

GAS CONDITIONING MEANS TO PURIFY FUEL GAS SO THAT IT CAN BE EFFICIENTLY UTILIZED BY THE GAS COMPRESSOR OR TURBINE

To maintain the gas pressure & temperature through cross-sections as during winter season there is considerable amount of temperature drop along with another temperature drop which occurs immediately after pressure reduction.

In Plant, natural gas is supplied by owner at plant boundary at specified conditions. then we need to install fuel gas conditioning system so that meet the requirment of natural gas quality which is required by GT OEM at gas turbine inlet terminal point.

To control the amount of natural gas and maintain sufficient needed.

fuel gas conditioning is necessary part of fuel gas operation skid.the main requirement is to remove moisture, desulphurization,particle removal,pressure regulaization and smoothness of flow. 

We need it to filter the gas and for extracting any liquids trapped in them. The GT in a gas-fuel configuration is designed to burn gas, not liquids. Any liquids passing to the combustion chambers in a gas-fuel burn configuration would be harmful for the combustion chambers. That is why fuel cond. skids are equipped not only with filters, but with heaters that keep the gas humidity from condensing and entering the CC. 

Eventough the average temp runs high, the fuel gas conditioning skid heaters are to be ON at all times

To purify fuel gas so that it can be more efficiently utilized  by the gas compressor/turbine

Fuel Gas Conditioning Skid the name itself clarifies . Scrubber /filters .....etc As the fuel gas contains droplets or iron dust from pipes . If acid then acid gas treatment . If large condensate then GDU /TEG

This are required to have safety and long life of Gas engine or turbine !!
