What is the IESBA code of ethics for professional accountants?

1.integrity- all professional accountants to be straightforward and honesty in professional and business relationship.

2. Objectivity- professional accountants must not compromise their professional or business judgement because of bis, conflict of interest or undue influence of others.

3 Professional competence and due care  - to maintain professional knowledge and skill and to act diligently in accordance with applicable technical and professional standards

4 Confidentiality- keep confidential the information acquired as a result of professional and business relationships

5. Professional  Behavior - to comply with relevant laws and regulations and avoid any action that  may discredit the profession

The International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants(IESBA) is an independent standard-setting body that serves the public interest by setting robust, internationally appropriate ethics standards, including auditor independence requirements, for professional accountants worldwide. These are compiled in the Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants.

The 2015 IESBA Handbook contains the entire Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants . The entire Code is currently effective with the exception of Changes to the Code Certain Non assurance Services Provisions for Audit Clients and Assurance Clients. These changes will be effective April 15, 2016.
