What are the required skills' for entry level position jobs in the computer industry?

The entry level positions in computer industry   includes: Data Entry,Sales, Quality Assurance (QA), or Technical jobs . Required skills will vary based on the job for which you're applying, so also skills differ  by job . however the type of skill.

Data entry :

-Typing Skills & speed.

-Software Experience with various software programs such as

- Excel

-Microsoft Word files

-PowerPoint

-   Access

- Open Office

Tech Support:

-Troubleshooting

-maintenance and repair of IT equipment

-hardware and software installation

-basic networking

Technicians :

-soft skills.

- data entry.

- computer software.

 -writing professional emails.

- documentation.

Quality Assurance (QA)

-Microsoft Office

 -Databases

-Programming

Sales associate

Basic computer skills such as

-General computer knowledge such asWindows and word processing programs

-Excel

-PowerPoint

-internet

-emails

Unfortunately, what Miss Ghada sited are the skills, managers usually look for. I have a whole different point of view and especially for entry level: new graduates have one or two of the wanted skills but not really mastered, thus what I see the skill you should look for are:

- a degree in the field (this is like the first gear in a car)

- capacity to learn new things.

- capacity to understand what is needed.

- capacity to translate the requirements into actions.

Basic Computer Knowledge Dos / Ms/Excel/ Ms Word/ Ms/PowerPoint & Auto Cad/ Internet Have good skill in Computer field A+ Have Good experience

basic computer knowledge. after all when you get to use the computer everyday you will learn a lot from it. and you need to exert effort also in learning from it and other sources.

To have European Computer Driving Licence is much enough.

I agree with miss ghada eweda.

What is important is how to deal with the computer operating its own programs, but from my point of view there are personal qualities, cultural and cognitive other choice for the job process control
