It will greatly depend on the intentions and size of a selected company, For a small business or even a startup, you would want too keep up to date with the local markets. Trends are a great element to extract from blogs that accommodates these smaller organizations because,  they often use trend scoping as a means to stay ahead of competition.

For a reasonable to large organization it would be better to not only follow well known sources but, also keep professional high reputation sites such as: Linkedin and Buffer Blog (great sites that keeps you in touch with the social media aspect of business communication). It is however just as important to keep global finance, markets and news in mind because any changes here is more likely to influence a larger company in a larger fashion. These sources are easier to track down and can easily be identified. High reputation sites may include: Forbes, CNN Money and Bloomberg

Hi there, it depends on the country that you reside in or do business in. Checking out US blogs or reading business news from US sources and at the same time - residing/doing business in Russia or China, does not mean at all that you are up-to-date with Russian/Chinese business news. There is no such a thing as "one source or one blog" for all the business news around the world. Hope this helps and good luck!
