Indeed, I believe that creative thinking in business and like is utmost important or necessity, why, because, it is  a way of looking at problems or situations from a fresh perspective that suggests unorthodox solutions (which may look unsettling at first). Creative thinking can be stimulated both by an unstructured process such as brainstorming, and by a structured process such as lateral thinking.

Yes, definitely, the imperatives of economic, professional, social, and cultural evolution has imposed a way of creative thinking as a result of the development of sophisticated people daily requirements as well as the complexity of the problems faced by businesses

Yes I do believe that Creativity is necessity especially in today's competitive world .

The first step to take is to learn the creative thinking techniques so that you can deliberately use them to come up with new ideas. You will then be at an immediate advantage over those who don't know how to use them. You should then practise the techniques to increase your skill at ongoing creative thinking. (After a while you may even find it unnecessary to use specific techniques because you may be having too many ideas anyway.)

Secondly, using special techniques, deliberate creative thinking can be used to develop new ideas. These techniques force the mergance of a wide range of ideas to spark off new thoughts and processes. Brainstorming is one of these special techniques, but traditionally it starts with unoriginal ideas.

Without using special techniques creative thinking does still occur, but usually in the accidental way; like a chance happening making you think about something in a different way and you then discovering a beneficial change. Other changes happen slowly through pure use of intelligence and logical progression. Using this accidental or logical progression process, it often takes a long time for products to develop and improve. In an accelerating and competitive world this is obviously disadvantageous.

In today global high competitive market is creative thinking in business more than a nice addition, creative thinking means being ahead, be winner on the market. Although creative thinking is mostly attributed to artists or musicians, creative thinking means also something different. It is about atypical approach to addressing situations or tasks and this we can learn.

Very interesting is the approach of Bob Eberle. He created creativity instructions called SCAMPER.

S - Substitute - components, materials, people

C - Combine - mix, combine with other assemblies or services, integrate

A - Adapt - alter, change function, use part of another element

M - Modify - increase or reduce in scale, change shape, modifyattributes (e.g. colour)

P - Put to another use

E - Eliminate - remove elements, simplify, reduce to core functionality

R - Reverse - turn inside out or upside down, also use of Reversal.

But what  I would like to add that creativity and innovation are capabilities for some ones who have high skill in a certain field. No any one could be creative or has creative thinking. It is characteristic for some people not for all.

Therefore the more you are in a position where you need creative thinking and new ways to use, the more you should seek to develop your creative thinking, hence you can find creative thinking is more developed in those who have decision making , solving problem, strategies and planning ...positions !

How can it be necessity if I can't know how to be a creative person , creativity is not just a word , it is a hard work and training and a gift from god , it may came to you after alot of reading , training and experement , it may came to you because you born inside a creative community or a family , it may came to you after alot of  a hard experiments , it may not came at all

The problem is that creative thinking is something that’s not emphasized or developed enough in secondary education. It’s encouraged in primary school, but slowly discouraged later on as you are taught to follow instruction instead.

The irony here is that creative thinking is one of the most important skills that you will ever develop in your life and it’s one of the only things that humans will ever have a monopoly on. No animal or supercomputer can compare to the human capability of creative thinking.

Creative thinking is a critical life skill and it’s the byproducts of creative thinking that make it such an important skill worth developing.

To illustrate, let’s look at one component of your life, namely work as it takes up a majority of your time to show this simple fact.

One of the Most Important Cross Marketable Skills

Creativity will ALWAYS be in demand, regardless of what industry you’re working in.
