Now very easy than before and thanks for invitation
Payroll departments across the country have had a lot to deal with over the past five years. The emergence of both RTI and Auto Enrolment have shaken payroll departments, with many underestimating the amount of work generated by the new legislations.
While once upon a time the payroll process had a simplicity about it, paying individuals and managing data, it is now far more complex. Payroll systems must store increasingly diverse information and those tasked with payroll – both internal teams and external providers – are expected to be able to answer far more in depth questions by both the business and employees.
Organisations have had to review software provisions and processes to manage the new legislations, as well as ensuring that those employees managing the systems and processes fully understand the new requirements and have the necessary knowledge help to implement them correctly.
The payroll department will continue to play a very important role in the communication of these new legislations, being the first port of call for many employees who are seeking to understand the implications on everything from take home pay to retirement planning. While the focus for many has been on the legislation itself and getting the systems in place to manage it, it is also vital that employee communications can be managed and that employees receive the necessary knowledge and answers to any questions which they have.
Thanks
