To accomplish this, data is divided into into many subject-based tables so that each fact is represented only once. Then access is provided with the means by which to bring the divided information back together. This is done by placing common fields in tables that are connected. To do this phase appropriately, however, there is need to first understand the relationships between created tables, and then specify these relationships in the database.
