What is SWOT analysis and how much it is important?

SWOT is the acronym for strenghts, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. It is an analytical tool that determines internal strenghts and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats facing a firm's, business or idea.  

SWOT Analysis is   widely used  in strategic management for knowing competitors business strengths, weakness , opportunity and threats of an organisation.
