Yes, but not all employees, some of the might be focused on it. And also it based on many factors such, type of company and business lines of the company would be considered, local retail ( single entity) selling unit would not be focused or considered, vision or mission or values, they just want to sale and get the profit, Mission closed.

Employees need to act with the right actions and follow policies in order to achieve goals and not just understand them ... Adopting and applying procedures should help in creating values !

Thank You

Not all employees understand the Mission and Mission statement but regardless, their daily activity by following the SOP creates value and achieve the mission and vision statement.

No company would exist without creating value and the value to be created by a company is technically couched in the company's vision and mission statement.

Understanding the mission and vision statement of a Company is an Executive Committee objective.

cascading and turning the statements into action point is the responsibility of the Top and Middle Management (this also including drafting of policies and Operating procedure manuals)

The achievement of the Vision and Mission  or creation of value is however in the participation or conduct of processes laid down in the SOP of the company

Mission, Vision and Values are interlinked.  Values dictates employee behavior to achieve mission and vision of the organization.  Each unit of the organization has its own mission, vision and values. Mission and vision become goals and goals are translated into measurable objectives. Hence, each employee of the concerned unit of the organization must contribute to achieve goals / objectives failing which leads to PIP.
