The term "persons" is used in English for the 'speaker,' 'listener / addressee' and the 'reference' in a conversation between two or more people. The speaker is called1st person, the listener/addressee is called2nd person, and if someone/something is referred to in their conversation, he or she or it is called the3rd person. According to number of people involved, all the three persons are singular or plural, as follows:

1st person singular: I

Plural: We

2nd person singular as well as plural: You

3rd person singular: He, she, It

3rd person plural: They

Use of Has/have

1st person singular/plural:  Have

1. I have done my work.

2. We have done our work.

2nd person: Have

3. You haven't done your work. (Here 'you' may be used for one individual or a group of people)

3rd person singular: Has

4. He has done his work.

5. She hasn't done her work.

6. It (the clock) has stopped working.

3rd person plural: Have

7. They have done their work.

I, we, you, they, he, she, and it are also called "personal pronouns."

Plural nouns also take 'have' as helping verb.

8. These rooms have been vacant for long.

Singular proper nouns take Has.

9. Rehman has done his work.

Proper nouns joined by 'and' are counted as plural, so they take have.

. Abdullah and Karim have done their work.

I hope I'm clear.

There are three grammatical persons in English:

1.First person..This is I when used to talk about yourself.I is always singular. This is we when used to talk about a group in which Iis a member. We is plural.

2. Second person..This is you. Second person is used when referring to the addressee. The addressee may be singular or plural, depending on how many individuals are being addressed.

3. Third person..This is he, she, it, and they. Third person is used when referring to any person, place, or thing other than the speaker and the addressee.
