There are two types of competencies:

Core Competencies and Function Competencies

Core Competencies apply to all employees, although the expected levels of these competencies may depend on the specific job. Core competencies are:

(a) Integrity,

(2) Diversity

(3) Commitment

(4) Teamwork

(5) Communication

(6) Drive for result

Functional Competencies There are several functional competencies and set of approx. four  functional competencies are applicable for each job role based on the functional area of the job.Functional competencies are:

1.     Deciding and initiating

2.     Leading and Supervising

3.     Relating and Networking

4.     Persuading and Influencing

5.     Applying Technical Expertise

6.     Creating and Innovating

7.     Formulating Strategies and Concepts

8.     Planning and Organizing

9.     Coping with Pressure and Setbacks

10.   Entrepreneurial Thinking
