What should I do as an Operations Team Leader to improve my selling abilities in UAE

Will work towards each of the points suggested and will approach an industry which would suit my profile and expertise.
To give you some heads on my profile and expertise, I have worked in the service industry( including captive service centres) outsourced to India accross Investment banking, Exports & Accouts Payable operations.
Got exposure in Exports Order management and working as a Team Leader for Exports order managment process( UK operations ) since sept2010 till date.
 

It totally depends on your strength and area of expertise.

Proper planning would be the first thing that should be ensured for the team, I am not aware about your product but customer study and segmentation should be the second step as a general process.
The value consumed by each of the customer would indicate the proportionate attention each one should be getting.
Prospective customer should be left alone from the regular exercise, you need to have special people handling such cases.
Sales team members should also be analyzed for their strengths and weaknesses , this list of doable will go on...

It’s very important to start of understanding what you have, which is what you sell. And then understand the customer needs, which in this case the UAE people and mix.

the single most important area is understanding demographics and psycographics of UAE special people blend and mix ..

First study the UAE starndards and Perform accordingly.
A operations Team Leader has to work on the factors such as before time, dispatch activities, MIS report generation, and has to cop with all the situations at work.
Ensure that the team is satisfied and works according to the guidelines of the company (Co SOP) to achieve the companies goal, objective.

First you need to analyse the market and then prepare a draft with the expectation and then probably need to work on that.
