How do I mitigate the delay of construction project?

one important step is planning, with a careful planning the delay will be minimum.

Based on a good planning scope change might be a reason for delay which by good communicating and professional scope planning we can reduce the probability of delay because of scope change.

procurement and contract with supplier also could be a reason, so should be defined very adequate and proper.

considering the risk related to geographical area or the time of execution and... also are very important and should be planned very well with proper risk responses.

Get early warning of delays caused by the client, main contractor or your own people

Make sure the client knows when he is the cause of the delay

Freeze design changes at a certain point to allow time for procurements and approvals

Carefully monitor the work done by the earlier contractor(s

Keep an eye on what your team is doing that might cause delays

"Mitigate" the impact of the delays
