I have advised on this several times, and I always endorse MailChimp because it is so easy to customize. It is also the simplest platform for email marketing that I have used, mostly because you can schedule out the email campaigns and it will automatically send out the emails to the addresses that have been provided by the system. MailChimp also offers several ways to include email surveys, whereas the survey is built into the email campaign itself, making it easier for people to fill out surveys and get the data back to you in a more timely manner than with other methods of surveying.

If you have not ever used MailChimp before, get accustomed to using it. There are web tutorials online and I highly suggest viewing them and using them as an aid whilst you try your hand at using the bulk mail marketing platform. I know there are other email marketing services out there that others have used, but I cannot speak to those, as I have yet to broaden my horizons on other platforms.
