Basically, there are reasons why it can't connect.
If the laptop is working before, then there's a possibility that a third party software is causing the issue or preventing him to get online. Just make sure that the browsers settings is cleared and the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings is set to automatically detect.
-Make sure there is actually connection to the internet not only connected to the LAN.
-Check the DNS settings
-Check the proxy settings
First Check if you can connect to other sites, if your behind the proxy check proxy option is enabled.
Check DNS is resolving by typing nslookup, you can also check if google is working on another browsers.
If you are connected to home router you can also restart it once.
Update your Browser.Check the proxy setting. and check the date of your laptop if correct.
If Internet is working and connected, there could be a possibility that someone put some static IP or DNS address into your network settings.
1 - check date and time of laptop for current date and time. 2- check proxy settings 3- upadate browser. 4- try use other browser
If the laptop is having problems only connectiing to google, then the primary issue will be the date of rthe laptop. Update it to the current date and please try reconnecting to google.
If it has problems when connecting to other sites also, then the issues can be of proxy settings or ip settings.
