Main duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. In charge of interacting with clients and providing them proper information concerning the products and the services offered by a certain bank
  2. In charge of understanding the client's problems and of resolving their complaints
  3. In charge of handling common complaints and questions, but when it is necessary, they may provide support concerning the clients' particular complaints
  4. In charge of advising the customers what service or product would be appropriate for their requirements
  5. He must make usual updates and changes to a client's account or profile concerning their information
  6. He must also update the transactions and keep a database of the customers' information
  7. In charge of opening deposit accounts for bank clients
  8. In charge of interviewing the clients in order to obtain their financial information and of explaining the services available within the bank
  9. In charge of providing help to the clients so that these ones resolve their account problems
  10. They may also help the clients to complete credit applications
  11. In charge of investigating account errors
  12. In charge of presenting the finances received from clients to a bank teller for deposit and of obtaining proofs of payment from the customers
  13. In charge of executing wire transfers of funds
  14. In charge of admitting clients to protected credit vault

A bank customer service representative is expected to perform specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities, which make up the job description of majority of customer service representatives working with banks.

 

  • Provide splendid customer services to customers in a friendly and courteous manner at all times
  • Have sufficient knowledge about the banking products and services and respond to all inquiries accordingly
  • Provide assistance to all other members of staff in other departments of the bank by liaising with them through healthy interactions
  • Participate in marketing and awareness campaigns in the bank to create an enlarged customer base
  • Establish and promote cordial relationship with customers, ensuring prompt attendance to their inquiries and solving their problems to grant them maximum satisfaction
  • Be involved in performing some financial related and marketing transactions
  • Channel complex customer complaints and challenges to the right quarters for effective resolution
  • Ensure that customers confidential information is properly protected and only used for official purposes
  • Improve customers banking experience with the bank by ensuring that the customers are attended to promptly and all their challenges are resolved without delay
  • Ensure that all the bank’s policies and procedures, code of conduct and regulatory guidelines are strictly complied with in the process of discharging duties
  • Continuously update skill by participating in professional training's, go for courses as instructed by management and be willing to contribute acquired knowledge to the development of the back.
