Yes, because a repeater effectively halves the bandwidth for a computer it connects to, in processing signal in the both directions if more number of repeaters added we loose the the bandwith in the same proportion. so we need to follow 543 rule while using repeaters

According to my experience, if we use repeaters in LAN in specific distances, they will work perfectly. IF we increase their distances from more than Meters, they will not affect on Network but the users connected with those repeaters will face slow data flow.

If we talk about Wireless routers, it also depend on distances but more important thing is quality and brand of those repeaters as well.

No repeater does'nt disturb any of the network, its simply amplify the atinuated signal in the medium and thus improve the efficiency of the given network.

No no no...look repeat means do again the same thing...so repeater just amplify weak Signal , mean the strength Signal lost because of attention is regain Thats Why its called repeater ..no network división

Yes. It will disturb the net. A repeater is a alone device that receives the signal and then sends it out again ( repeats). Speed may be adversely affected with a repeater. For example the base wireless N router routed by a wireless G. Latency will almost always be increased with a repeated signal. However an increase in latency may not be discernible on the configuration
