This is really interesting! When should the word “English” be not capitalized?

Or should this word "English" be always capitalized?

Hi there!

Never thought that can be done. But here it is:

english (uncountable)

  1. (US) Spinning or rotary motion given to a ball around the vertical axis, as in billiards or bowling.

You can't hit it directly, but maybe if you give it some english.

Yup, I googled it, honest.

I can not imagine finding "English" no capitalised; no way for that to happen!

I agree with  Synner Mayocdan

If it is a common noun, it isn't capitalized

I do not recall having seen it without a capital E.

"English" is either language person or people and must always be capitalized.

We should always write "English" with capital letter E
