This is an excellent question
First, we felt hungry and thirsty, so we know how suffer the poor and the needy
Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said: "Whoever does not give up false speech and work it, Allaah has no need of his giving up his food and drink."
we learned :
But there are bad habits :
Give love and live with faith and open your heart to the needy and help anyone who needs help give without looking for a return, do not let your heart knows the ball and kept the fear of God in front of your eyes
We learned of Ramadan this year, many things, including patience, ability and endurance in order that we obey God Almighty and we hope to God Almighty to accept our prayer and fasting, kneeling and prostrating and do Trustworthy
bility and endurance in order that we obey God Almighty and we hope to God Almighty to accept our prayer and fasting
A ‘Smart’ Question indeed! Thank you so much Mr. Moin Akber for putting forth such a constructive question for discussion.
The Holy month of Ramadan has just ended. We have learnt the following lessons during this Ramadan:
1. Discipline: We learnt in Ramadan how to discipline ourselves for the sake of Allah. In our morning and evening, we followed a strict schedule of eating and drinking. We have been constantly aware that even in our such mundane activities as eating and drinking, we must remain under divine injunctions. We learnt that we are notthe servants and slaves to our habits, but always the servants of Allah.
2. Perseverance: Ramadan taught us the lesson of tenacity. Many a times, while fasting, we experienced different kinds of temptations, but we stuck to our fast steadily and kept on going according to the prescribed course of action.
3. Renewal of Devotional Life: Ramadan renewed our enthusiasm for worship and devotion to Allah. During Ramadan, we have been more careful of our daily prayers and have had special prayers at night.
4. Renewal of Contact with the Quran: Ramadan and the Qur’an are linked together from the beginning. It was in this month that this divine message was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). We are told that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting when he received the first revelation. During Ramadan, we payed more attention to and recited the Holy Quran.
5. Renewal of Identity/Brotherhood with the Muslim Ummah: Ramadan is not an individual experience only, but it is an experience in community. The whole Muslim Ummah fasted in Ramadan together in one and the same month. So, we identified with one another in our obedience to Allah, which gave us a new sense of togetherness and association.
6. A fresh sense of Care and Sympathy: During Ramadan, we understand the suffering and the pains of the poor and needy. By our voluntary hunger and thirst, we realized what it means to be deprived of basic necessities of life. Ramadan is called the month of charity and sympathy. So, we learnt how to be more kind and generous to the destitutes and the needy during Ramadan.
7. Taqwa: To summarize all the moral and spiritual gifts of Ramadan, we can say that Ramadan gave us the great gift of Taqwa. Taqwa is the sum total of Islamic life. It is the highest of all virtues in the Islamic scheme of things. It means, God-consciousness, piety, fear and awe of Allah and it signifies submission to Allah and total commitment to all that is good and rejection of all that is evil and bad.
Great Answers by Nadjib sir and Farhana Madam.
Yes true we learn lot of good qualities and principles through our religious practices, but the question how far we are implementing in our daily lifes?
I just want to put a question to myself? cause I'm not in such position can question others as my principle first I will have to follow then can expect from others.
Insha allah, I try my level best within my means and strengths to follow. Allah will give me more taqwa in my life to implement all those good qualities and principles in our day to day life. Aameen. Summa Aameen. Shukraan.
I fully agree & endorse mr. Farhana, mr. Mohammed Gayasudin & mr. Nadjib's wonderful & excellent submissions.
