Which is more efficient way of organizing the schedule, though WBS or activity code?

In P3, mostly all planners were using activity code. However in P6 mostly all planners are using WBS.

At same time many planners uses activity coding in addition to WBS so that they may organize the schedule as per requirements.

It is prefered to build a schedule utilizing a WBS, in a traditional manner, to layout the projects deliverables and workflow.Then use Activity Codes to supplement the ability to group, filter, and sort project data. Therefore, enhancing performance analysis and reporting. Project integration to Master Projects, owner requirements, and project management principles are other factors to consider when deciding how to structure projects.
