Continuity Test, Polarity Test, 2.5 Kv Test, functional Test,
Insulation Test, Current Injection Test.
There is an IEC standard for LV panels, this is IEC 61439. Characteristics to be verified (tested) are as follows:
10.2 Strength of material and parts
10.3 Degree of protection of enclosures
10.4 Clearances and creepage distances
10.5.2 Effective continuity between parts and PE
10.5.3 Effectiveness of the ASSEMBLY for external faults
10.6 Incorporating of apparatus
10.7 Internal electrical circuits and connections
10.8 Terminals for external conductors
10.9.2 Power frequency withstand voltage
10.9.3 Impulse withstand voltage
10.10 Temperature rise limits
10.11 Short-circuit withstand strength
10.12 EMC
10.13 Mechanical operation
This information is taken from ABB publication on new standard IEC 61439
Continuity test, contact resistance test, insulation resistance test, current injection test (trip test), torque test
Type-tested assemblies (TTA) and partially type-tested assemblies (PTTA)... it means you have to be able to identify which of those control units were Tested and Partially Tested. Commonly it requires continuity testing, resistance testing, insulation resistance check, and trip test... You have to use multi-meter, megger and ducter depends on the units.
1.Visual and functional test of components in LV panel.
2.Megger test
2.HV test
Continuity test check
Insulation test
Earth fault
Voltage measurement
Current check
Frequency check
Equipments in the panel should be tested seperately and overall test for LV panels are
1. Visual Inspection
2. Contact Resistance test
3. Interlock checks
4. Auto Transfer Schemes
