Well you are quite right, but i believe the factors which provoke impulsive buying behavior vary according different markets, in some markets the visuals, background music, lighting setup, store display, and scent may work well, but in markets which are in the phase of developing economies the factors like, gifts, free giveaways, discounts offers, free samples may provoke impulsive buying behavior among customers. Moral: The better you know the customer the better you can design your marketing activities to achieve your desired outcomes..
