A recent study from Matthew Killingsworth and Daniel Gilbert found that the more our minds wander, the less happy we are. Summing the research, the New York Times wrote, “Whatever people were doing, whether it was browsing, tweeting .. reading or shopping, they tended to be happier if they focused on the activity instead of thinking about something else.”
In short, being mentally “present” and focused on the task at hand really does matter – quite a lot, in fact. If only finding focus were so simple. With a tidal wave of information coming at us daily, focus is rapidly becoming the scarcest commodity of the 21st century. With this in mind, I’ve rounded up a handful of the best apps for fighting back against the constant distractions of our social media and digital lives.
Here is your plan to do:
Start reading books here: https://www.scribd.com/
first of all , read the important and interesting things, in social media sites, and try to chat with friends, which makes you , concentrate on words, and spellings, which is difficult , but not , impossible.
From my personal experiance .... look ... i hate reading :)
but when i want to read something specific i browse the social media and articles or blogs, sometimes it leads to me an "audio book"
so basically it leads to reading .. doesnt have to be from a physical book , it can be anything else
Nowadays It's hard to read books, I don't read books nowadays if I prefer or focus for reading books just for one reason,
To avoid using device, to prevent radiation and other hazardous stuff which could cause health issue, in such case I prefer books to clarify doubt, read and understand(For "Holy book Quran" I prefer most to read from Holy book rather than using device). If you wanna stay happy with bright smile on your face first avoid social media which sucks lots of time and mind.
