Unfortunately, they don't have the Practical skills and they only have basic about this field.
There can be many reasons behind it. I see the following as the most common reasons: Competition: The strength of your profile is lower than other candidates. Set yourself a goal and build up your skills in one direction! Channel: You are not channelizing your applications to the right sources / people. Or perhaps there are some administrative issues due to which your application got lost midway. Apply again! Presentation: You are not selling yourself well enough. Build up a good resume. Create your own web presence (e.g. on Quora, LinkedIn). Showcase your project work on your personal website. Wear a suit. A tie. And do your homework before you enter the interview room! Demand: Some jobs are in trend (e.g. Data Science, Software engineering). Others are nearly extinct (e.g. Hardware support) and losing popularity. If you are working in a niche field you have to start applying early enough to find something suitable!
most of them like in my town end up doing basic IT jobs which is not that involving. some of them lack motivation and mentorship too
May be the rare of knowledge about Computer Engineering itself can face the fresh graduates in Middle East :)
