I was thaught to respect the elder. One cannot dissociate cultural heritage from action.
exceptional respect greater sense of being valued
Business is business whether it's with younger and older people. however, all respect to the elder persons because they also must be more experience and that may give the work the required value.
Since the objectives are SMART and the sponsibilities are proffisionally distributed then no more arguments with all my respect to all team members regardless their ages, experience, qualifications or skills
i respect them and beneft from their experiences
You need to be respectful to the elder people, but not to give them unlimited powers to block decisions, or not to perform certain actions. I used to manage a project with managers, who were all older than I was, I respected their opinion, but there were things that had to change, including the legacy that they used to talk about, and this came as the common sense to most, while some others were demeaning my capabilities, knowledge, and right decision making due to my comparatively young age, these had to be dealt with by the sponsor.
I feel that one can use the elder/older people to gain from experience/expertise. As a PM, one should make sure that they are respected at the same time not allowing them to disrupt the project activities. In case of conflict/issues, the PM should first sit with them and try to address. If this does not work out, then the issue should be raised to the Project Board/Sponsor.
simply act as a manager, don't make the age as reference to deal with your employees...
be yourslef in managerial methodology
I deal with all employee with respect, but with the elder people with more particpate in the decesions if they apricate that and respect that and dont cross the line.
I do the implementation of the project and the oldest periodic reports on the implementation phasesof the management of the Supreme
