In my view monolith is always better compared to layered zirconia as chances of chip off of layered ceramic is absent.

Very good question. Both answers by my colleagues are valid and the safest option in terms of longevity of the crown without an examination. However, if there is no diagnosis of bruxism (grinding teeth), the absolute best choice cosmetically would be to opt for an Emax crown. Latest studies show that longevity of Emax crowns are not far behind Zirconia types.

treatment plan determined after discussion with the patient, and patient desire is important, if the esthetic requirement of the patient is the main goal, the treatment option will be monolithic zirconia, while if the patient requirement is only function or the restoration is not appear in esthetic zone the first of choice will be full metal restoration to preserve both biologic and mechanical considerations of the tooth and restoration

I would choose monolithic zirconia if the patient doesn't suffer from posterior problems in TMJ area.

Depends of The malfunction  of patient mouth. When appear  bruxism  web should avoid layering ceramica crown și and we should user monolithic zirconiu if aesthetic îs primordial  or  full  metal  crown to preserv  more  dental  substances.

Monolith Zirconia as chipping off is not a problem.
