The engineering department has raised a question about the expensive molybdenum bearing you plan to use in your warp drive project?

They believe they can find an acceptable but cheaper substitute and submit a change request to do the necessary research. Their request is the result of:A. An external eventB. An error or omission in defining the scope of the productC. An error or omission in defining the scope of the projectD. A value-adding change

Thanks for the invite.

Bearing type , being the integral part of the warp drive project that has an impact on the project cost, option C appears to be most appropriate.

Value adding change is not very common term so I think the engineering was from an  operational department

Why is the Engineering Department questioning this metal?

Perhaps, there is a bearing in existance which is cheaper and does the same thing!

I think you failed to explain why you need it in the product, what value it has for the project.

Redue your ECN request with a detailed explonation otherwise you can count on it that it gets kicked back/ diaproved.

he second thing I am questioning is why is the engineering department objecting to this? unless there are alternate bearings which are much cheaper
