What are safety issues in Oil & Gal?

Safety is simply absence of harm in an environment which could be drawn from company to company. What may be term HSE issue in one organization may be in the other. Therefore, safety issues are things that bothers on attitudes of noncompliance to rules ,policy,no motivation ,lack of risk assessment, not following procedures and standard,inability to follow safe system of work,not conducting induction for new workers,tempering with critical equipmen t

The safety issues in Oil and Gas is already in the question. It is Oil and Gas. These two during extraction from earth and brought up to a refinery presents by-product hazards that could be poisonous, explosive and could harm the environment.

 ·         Liaise with the Wells HSE Team Lead, monitoring and enhancement of company awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Quality Assurance and implement promotional programs & To be fully conversant with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental policies and procedures and comply with them at all times.

·         Provide on the job coaching and guidance to all offshore and onshore teams in regards to compliance with their own companies policies and procedures and that of the contractors.

·         Take part in accident investigations as directed

·         Work with the HSE team to create safe working procedures for onshore and offshore activities.

·         Monitor and review implementation of the safety programs of both client and contractor at offshore sites.

·         Liaise with the Wells HSE Team Lead to ensure Policies and Procedures are documented in order that they are understood by all employees of the company, thus ensuring the company provides a consistent control on quality and fitness for purpose.

·         Assist in conducting audits at the well site to reveal defects or irregularities within the Company's systems, and assist in preparing reports for the attention of the onshore Wells HSE Team Lead.

·         Provide support to the shore based Wells HSE Team.

·         Provide the necessary support to offshore Wells Team in all aspects of HSE advice.

·         Assist/support the drilling operations at the field.

·         Aid in the development, planning and implementation of annual goals and objectives for Wells HSE Team and ensure compliance with these goals.

·         Assist to produce monthly management report detailing actions and issues relating to H & S and Environment and assist to ensure effective tracking of all actions through to closure.
