Good governance for me is simply the use of resources by government in managing the needs and providing good services to the public. Good Governance can be uplifted in the middle east if government must promote public policy or public administration as a basic subject in manning and administering the government. All government officials must have a good background or must be trained in Public Administration and the establishing of Civil Service Commission will help the nation in ensuring the government will be managed by competent, qualified and motivated people to serve the public.
Dubai is the best model of Good Governance by managing the emirate without dependency in its Oil. Their economy is pump-rimed by tourism policy due to its impossible infrastructure projects with an environmentally balanced program that attracts different people of this planet.
The E-government system is really amazing as they continue to invest and upgrade in order to meet the good services they are providing to the general public.
As I mentioned Dubai , this can be set as a good example to be followed by other neighboring middle east countries in promoting good governance that shall lead their government institution to manage their public affairs and its resources.
