If you heard a rumor that your favorite restaurant has given someone food poisoning, would you still eat from the same place?

I think that the answer for your question is very subjective. Its based on two things.

1- how long you have been eating in this restaurant?

2- how much you trust the person who told you the rumor?

and from my point of view, I will investigate the restaurant and their history, and if there is no previous case of the same type, then mostly it is just a rumor as you said, and I will keep eating from the same place. However, a far way advise from the topic, why anyone needs to have a restaurant that he/she always eat from, we should always eats at home, its a lot more healthy than eating out. restaurants should be max once a week.

I think no. Because you are at least alerted that there could be poisoning, therefore, prevention is good than treatment.
