Open-plan offices( work station ) where there are no doors separating the staff there is no room for privacy

 

.This does not happen in the companies that have a large number of its employees

I do believe that, the main obstacle arises when the employees are  "out of concentration " to their job duties.

I think reasons are time specific such as when salary revision is due , most of the employees will be pre-occupied  with the thought of how much they are going to get or how much more or less their peers will be getting etc. which I would say is a human tendency.  This very thought distracts the employees from concentrating on their job.
