If you make a thread talking about your blog and what you do on it; it may drive some traffic to it. Forums are also places where you can become a power user; talking from experience here. I saw how bloggers from YouTube and Wordpress build links on a forum I frequent by having dedicated threads, discussions and active posting cycles; generating followers and subscribers.
