Leaders and managers can vary as a leader is focused on including and encouraging their employees and a manager is focused on directing and quality assurance of the employees' output. I have been fortunate to have worked under both good leaders and good managers and have to state that both have their places in a business environment depending on the overall strategy of the business stakeholders.
