this is very important to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the provided training. In addition to that, the trainee will not feel too relax during the training session because they know that they are going to be evaluated.
Yes. There should be a test in order to know if all aspects of training were clearly understood.
It depends on the type of session. There are courses for culture only. Or guidance and does not require the exam. There are courses you need to practice and details of the examples and tests which definitely need to conduct examinations and evaluate the level of training.
Training or teaching seeks to develop people, so I see that the test is very necessary for both trainers ( as an assessment of how the course was delivered ) and for trainees to see what they have learned and acquired and how they will use it effectively in their future careers.

It's a great way of revising concepts and gauging the understanding level of the audience!
As a normal practice in all trainings that I have attended, we do share what we have learned. To ensure that trainees learned, they can be asked to write on the spot what are the points they learned, how are they going to use it in their job and howe it will help. The negative impact of expressing it within the group is, some attendees copy what the others says and some cannot say it aloud.
Yes, as this will help to analyze the training needs of the organization and the the agents who are being hired by our organization as well.
If you talk of a test in conventional terms, to see how much they have assimilated your training and learnt form it, my answer is that there should be more than a test. As a trainer if you can face the tough time in getting a training assignment, likewise, the trainees must also face a sort of on-the-job assessment. The supervisor must be sent a rubric to fill up those very changes that he can see in the trainee after he returns from the training. In other words, the trainee must feel the pressure of giving evidence of the change brought in his knowledge and skills due to training. Such a change must also be linked with his performance appraisal.
A dip stick is very necessary after any training session to understand the take away of each trainees. This also helps determine the effectiveness of the training program.
