Which qualities one should posses in order to get appreciated by the staff and higher authorities in the company?

On my opinion the best qualities is staff development and i believe few people has this capability and not everyone and I think this kind of skills it needs solid experiences and qualifications to empower the staff on later stage and take more responsibilities in future.         

 one should be open minded to opinions both from subordinates  and seniors. our personal openions should not dictate our decisions.
