I would advise you to think of the type of teacher you would want to have if you want to learn a foreign language. Ask yourself : "Am I being as effective as the teacher I have always wanted to have? Are my students looking forward to attend my class? What are my motivations ? And do I have the right ones to teach a foreign language? Do I know what are the activities that excite my students the most ?
I suggest you start using visual content to elicit engagement in the class. Try to try to create a competitive atmosphere in the class by coming up with different vocabulary games at the end of which, you award the student with the best performance, try to evaluate the students by asking them to write assignments on books they've read, movies they've watched or the music they listen to.
Personalizing the learning experience for students makes them feel that this language might and will be an essential part of their lives, one day.
Good luck! :)
Keep you students motivated and curious about the topics, encourage them to participate in the subjects, use games and competitions to warm up and activate the class( even adults like that) and use different methods to avid boredom.
Give them a chance to decide from time to time, for example ask them to choose the book in a reading or literature class, this will develop their confidence and you will gain a point.
You have to know how to manage your class, so everything goes quiet and smooth. Choosing the right materials is essential, materials that fit your students' level and needs.
First of all ,you should be patient ,,excited, planned and depend on yourself then choose a suitable material for your level finally practice
