Depending on the water quality for drinking water set by different water regulating authorities like WHO the water can be fit for human consumption.

I would say bottled water is more hygienic than the tap water because it is being treated well and disinfected well and sometimes nutrients are added to water in deficiency.

The bottled water is disinfected with ozon which will degrede to oxgen after 2 days, so it is free of oxedent, while the tap water is having chlorine in it.

Tranfering tap water by underground pipline could make it contaminated with underground water if there is damge in the pipe spechaly if the network is not preesurized all the time

Hello dear

the most good thing about the bottled water is the comprehensive monitoring and QA&QC measures & there is a less chance  to be polluted after treatment (does NOT transmitted in networks)

bottled ater is treated and maintain the minerals levels whereas tap water is not treated and level of minerals are not in composition so not safe as well not clean

Bottled water is safer than tap water due to treament of water to disinfect the micro organism and to remove present calcium and magnesium ions, and sustain turbidity, PH and nutrients level up to the water quality standards authroized by regulatory bodies of different countries or World Health Organization Standards.

Tap water may be infected by various bacteria and virus due to long term storage and un known source of water and insufficient treatment of water by government water supply agencies.

Bottled water is cleaner and safer because it is filtered and treated water from the tap, unlike the tap water which may have contamination from the piping system, hence making it quite unsafe. Corrosion from the pipes may cause turbidity to the tap water.Another reason why tap water may be unsafe is when there is a burst in the piping system, animals may tend to drink the water around the area, defecating around there hence causing leakages in the system. This may cause present of fecal coli-forms in water which is always an indicator of disease causing organisms.Bottled water is safe because its measured against a given set of standards such as WHO standards and therefore must comply as per the standards.

I think tap water is much better to consume than bottled water as it is fresh and oxygen rich water provided it is treated well in the filtration plant and the pipes carrying it are not damaged or have any sort of leakage... If leakage problems do exist u can still boil it as Boiling kills many pathogens present in the water... But in case of bottled water you don't know the source where from the water has been collected and treated... And you also don't know how much and how efficient treatment is given to water. You have to wholly rely and put trust on the manufacturer of the bottled water for the treatment processes mentioned on the cover of the bottle because in order to sell its manufacturers exaggerate about their products which are not true at all..

Tape water might be prone to bacteria because of leaked or chocked pipes or main water source/over head water supply storage tank might not be chlorinated which could trigger health hazards especially dirrohea, cholera or hepatitus after consuming that unsafe water. Bottled water on the other side contains the standard amount of each mineral and residual chlorine value of 0.2 to 0.5 mg/l which make it safe.

bottled water contribute to excessive waste and also it costs us a thousand times more than water from our faucet at home, and it's likely no safer or cleaner, experts say. A 2008 investigation by the nonprofit Environmental Working Group found some bottled water is sullied with untested industrial chemicals and may not necessarily be cleaner than tap water.
