I believe that a good writer is someone who
1. knows and respects his/her audience
2. focuses on communication rather than decoration.
3. can be intelligently ambiguous and equivocal.
4. has a noble cause.
What makes a good writer?
Indeed, it's not about your audience or how must words you know but it's about the passion to create something.
A passion to create a story that you deeply believe in or create something you have been dreaming of.
A good writer should develop a sense of observation, keeping a journal and get inspired.
You will never know that may be a common word like said or fog can be used to create the most mysterious story.
My answer would be:
A good writer is a person who never loses passion and keeps on dreaming. True that proofreading, audience, and words are a part of writing but not the main pillar of the foundation of what makes a good writer.
Just keep on dreaming and writing.
Someone who is able to make people see and understand things from different perspectives.
I agree with experts answer. Thanks for the invitation
The writer should stand on his viewpoint and also should stand in the shoes of the reader. Just think this before starting your writing- Whether you will read the book if it is written in this way. This is enough to be a good writer.
I think the following are some basics to be an effective writer
1. Contents should be interesting and unique.
2. The organization of thought should be logical and effective
3.Choice of words should be catchy but not too jargon
4. Correct usage of grammar, punctuations and spelling
I seldomly create blogs but these 4 points should be the basics to become an effective writer
For me, a writer would be someone who produces the sort of work others could easily relate to. We all have different understandings of what we read. We all have different perspectives. If a writer can, through his words, catch someone's interest, walk straight into his heart, I feel, he would be successful.
A good writer is someone who produces sensible works, writes with depth, and is knowledgeable of the topics he/she writes about.
To be a good writer, you need to have a little bit of innate talent for writing. Couple that with time and effort into reviewing your work. A good vocabulary also helps.
