In any industry by applying1.Power Redundancy2.Device Redundancy3.Link Redundancy we can overcome faults and make network reliable. When meeting SLA's (Service Level Agreements) we can use link/route redundancy techniques in Router&Switch such as HSRP,VRRP,GLBP and floating static routes,STP for Loop avoidance and then use IP SLA operations to monitor the links. Thorough Upkeeping and maintance of devices,Cables,Power should be done.

Redundancy in any of: Cables, Switches or Routers across the network, for example: Distribution Switches, and most importantly: Core Switch
