PLC you can say it is the controller that can give you the abilty to make your control program and excute it by using its I/O without any supervision
But to make supervision you need to use the plc with scada program and pc screen and make your system with one or more Plc units Using communication techniques
There is also HMI Human Mchine Interface
As toutch screen that give you a limited abilty

It was originally developed to replace mechanical relays, timers, counters.
PLC are used successfully to execute complicated control operations in a plant.
It is a controlling device that controls output process through logic programs given to it.

SCADA:
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition :
It is a monitoring and controlling software, runs on PC and is generally connected to varies PLCs and other peripheral devices.
Examples of SCADA Software used in industries are; R.S View, Wonderware, Win CC.
In basic SCADA architectures, information from sensors or manual inputs are sent to PLCs (programmable logic controllers) or RTUs (remote terminal units), which then send that information to computers with SCADA software. SCADA software analyzes and displays the data in order to help operators and other workers to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the manufacturing process.
In a simple way, we say that PLC is hardware part and SCADA is software part. PLC (Programmable Logic Control/Controller) is an industrial type dedicated computer fed with commands and algorithm in a systematic way to control a specific operation in a precise manner. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Accquisition) it is a realtime monitering software which will be connected to PLC or DCS.

PLC is hardware device, which collects field data from various sensors, store (48 -72 hours data buffer) , do simple calculations and logic conversions, which is sent after vie communication media (fiberoptic, wirless, LTE) to the SCADA. SCADA consist SCADA server and engineering and end-user workstations. SCADA server is collecting data from multiple PLC/Controllers. Data is stored for prolonged periods in inbuilt Histrian and distributed to end-user Pc via HMI.

For example:Controlling the LEVEL is done by PLC and info graphics of the level with information about it (level, criticle levels, alamrs etc.) from last 3 years or more is done by SCADA.
