1. Communicate my inability to meet a deadline and  provide a new tentative deadline in which i  will meet the deadline

2. Share the challenges i faced as to why deadline was not met, and request support to ensure new deadline is met

3. Adjust timeline on future similar projects to incorporate lessons leaned from misses on this project.

 That  demonstrates,  good communication skills, stakeholder engagement and project management.
